Consider the following food for thought: The 328i is said to give up only 2 tenths of a second in acceleration from 0-60 mph to its bigger brother, the 335i. For that very marginal performance
Obviously the 335 is faster than the 330. But not by a ton and the I6 turbo is a phenomenal motor. Nothing against the I4 turbo in the 330i by the way. It's a great 4 cylinder turbo engine. But if the I6 is 9/10, the I4 is 6/10 in comparison. Reply Quote. S. smak91. 512 posts · Joined 2015.
That said, with a manual transmission especially there is a noticeable difference between the 328i and the 330i. It's 265hp vs. 230hp. But it is ALL at the top of the rev range, the 330i pulls harder from 4K to 7K than the 328i. However, at this point all the US market 330i's are getting older. I would certainly take a newer better condition
The ActiveHybrid’s 5.0-second 0-to-60 time is 0.4 second slower than the last 335i’s we tested, and its 13.5-second quarter-mile is 0.2 behind the nonhybrid car’s. Compared with most other

I owned the 328i F30 for 4 months and then moved to the 335i (for other reasons). Both cars are great. The 328i's power is smooth and steady, but it lacks that "biting at the bit, raring to go" feeling you get with the 335i torque monster. I found that I stayed more relaxed in the 328i.
FoPR. With the 328i under its hood, the 3 Series has a 28-mpg highway rating. If you go with the Sedan, Coupe, or Convertible, you can upgrade to a 300-horsepower 335i engine that also achieves a
42 Photos. On paper Jaguar swiftly wins the battle of the two engines. After all, the 335i's 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-six makes just 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Compare that with
No one gets a 335 to save on maintenance or fuel, it’s almost apples and oranges. I’ve never been in a 335i to say how big of a performance gap it is between a tuned 328i and a stock 335i. But looking at power to weight ratios we’re talking 12 pounds per horse (335) vs 12.7 pounds per horse (tuned 328).
M3 vs 335i as a daily. I am an owner of an E36 M3 (1997) and a former owner of a 2008 335Xi with a full Dinan conversion. I can't give any advice on subsequent M3s with the V8 engine, as I never owned one. For my money, the only M engine worth owning is the inline 6. I was very satisfied with the 335/Dinan for both comfort as a daily driver and
Just $145 separates the base prices of the 328i and G35, and that's the reason the 328i is here and not the 300-hp 335i, which starts $6300 higher. The "sport" in G35 Sport brings a firmer
